Bosco and Jorge

Home: Chicago, IL
Guest Appearances: Fred Lonberg-Holm, Navin Brothers, Rob Mazurek

The story of Bosco and Jorge begins in rural Oklahoma where Bill Lowman and Brad Gallagher met at a LEO KOTTKE concert before the age of 12. Many years later and now residing in Chicago, BnJ combine technical precision, malleable song structures, and truly unique sonics into their hard to categorize musical blend. Incorporating country blues fingerstyle guitar into jazz and eastern themed melodies, BnJ are a compelling and challenging sound experience.

Reviews:

"Man, I fell on my face for this Bosco and Jorge Ally in the Sky. Don't really know how to describe it, except to say that it's a little bit bluegrass, a little bit modern folk, a little bit math rock, and a little bit Terry Riley's In C."
---Missoula Independent

"Ally In The Sky shows Bosco and Jorge developing into something more complicated than Kottke gestures; it gives a sense of a world outside of music. Somewhere, for a couple of bucks, you could buy dinner and some records, a newspaper. Sunsets, smokes, opinions; family, neighbors, low-wages. It's a little idyllic and romanticized, sure, but the extra steps into reality make 'Ally' more tangible than the usual daydreams of days gone by".
---Pitchfork Media

"Hearty and relaxing and just ambitious enough to supercede its influence-heavy syllabus, it's a great record, as intricate and feeling and smart as any you'll hear this year".
